Deep freeze without Mr. Freeze

Mr. Freeze would say "Wild!" to honour sub zero temperatures he would normally create in Gotham universe.

However, in this universe, there is no such great villain to unleash his vengeance. This 'villain' is global warming (Is there global warming happening??) that somehow doesn't know how to find its way to Alberta Rockies.
Nothing helps once it is below - 25 C. Well, it really doesn't matter if it is - 30, or - 35. It is cold. Perhaps Mr. Freeze would like it.

When it gets so cold - skiing is not called 'skiing' anymore, it is called 'surviving'. You go and do one run, and then you try to find the shelter. Nice and warm lodge. And hot chocolate.
Nothing helps, not even a face mask - as your bones start complaining.

Then, you put your skis on again, and you think you'll do better this time. You think that your great determination would warm you up. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. There is some wind chill to cheer you up :)

The best idea is to go home and keep warm.

Another cold blast has been controlling Alberta for last 2 weeks. After -20 C, -30 C, -40 C,...you stop registering it.

However, life cannot be better. It will be - 5 C in couple of days. Imagine how 'hot' -5 is going to feel, after temperature increases for 35 degrees. It will be time for shorts and t-shirts.
So funny, for some folks everything below zero is deadly - ask Hainan or Philippines residents. Relativity in its greatest form.
